What we collect
To constantly improve the service on the Quertle web site, we collect information including, but not limited to, your Internet protocol (IP) address or domain name, your browser type, referring and exit pages, your queries, and the duration of your visits. In addition, if you register for MyQuertle or sign up for the Quertle Newsletter, we may ask for personal information such as name, job title and employer, contact information including email address, and your research and searching interests. Providing such information is strictly voluntary.
What we do with the information
Search Site: We use the collected information to provide you with better service and to analyze usage trends. Quertle publishes a Query Trends report each year and your queries will be represented, anonymously, in that report. Some site usage information, but never personally identifying data, may also be shared with advertisers to help them deliver more appropriate information to you.
MyQuertle: If you are a MyQuertle user, we may use the information to periodically send you email Alerts (notification about new data), but only if you have elected to sign up for this service. MyQuertle users will automatically receive the Quertle Newsletter. We will never sell your information and you may cancel your MyQuertle account at any time.
Newsletter: If you are a Newsletter subscriber, we will use your email address to send the Newsletter. We will never sell your information and you may opt-out at any time.
We are committed to the security of your information. We have put in place reasonable physical, electronic and procedural methods to safeguard the information we collect online.
